Large file guide
How to send large files online
Move files that are too large for an email attachment with one secure, expiring link. No account or software install required.
Upload files for free · Up to 20 GB · No account required.
The short answer
Large files are easier to share as a download link than as an attachment. SendFile uploads the original files, creates one private transfer URL, and lets the recipient download individual files or the complete transfer.
Choose your files
Select one file or a group of up to 100 files. The combined transfer can be as large as 20 GB.
Set the link rules
Choose a one-day or seven-day expiry and add an optional password of at least eight characters.
Share the transfer link
Copy the private URL into chat, email, a project tool, or any channel you already use.

Why use a file-transfer link?
Email services limit attachment size and often create extra copies in several inboxes. A transfer link keeps the upload in one place and gives the recipient a direct download.
SendFile does not require the sender or recipient to create an account. The link stops working after its chosen expiry instead of remaining available forever.
Keep a large upload reliable
Use a stable connection and keep the browser tab open while the upload is active. Resumable upload support sends files in smaller chunks, so a temporary connection problem does not automatically mean starting from the first byte.
If you return after an interruption, reselect the exact same files in the same order so SendFile can safely match them to the pending transfer.
Before you send the link
Give the transfer a useful name, check the expiry, and use a password when the URL may pass through a shared channel. Send the password separately when the files are sensitive.
Anyone with the link can attempt to open the transfer, so treat it like a temporary access key.
