Link sharing guide
How to send files without email
Create a file-transfer link and share it through chat, a project board, a QR code, or any channel you prefer.
Upload files for free · Up to 20 GB · No account required.
The short answer
You do not need to enter an email address to create a SendFile transfer. Upload the files, copy the generated URL, and decide for yourself how the recipient receives it.
Upload without signing in
Open the upload panel and choose your files. An account is optional for one-off transfers.
Leave email blank
The email field only offers to send the transfer link back to you. It is not required for the sender or recipient.
Share the link your way
Paste it into a messenger, support ticket, team workspace, text message, or another trusted channel.

Why skip email attachments?
Attachment limits make email awkward for large files, and mail threads can leave duplicate copies across several accounts. A transfer link separates file delivery from the conversation.
This is useful when you know the recipient through chat, when a project tool already contains the discussion, or when you want to display a temporary link as a QR code.
No account does not mean public
SendFile transfer URLs are unlisted and are not added to the public sitemap. The random link acts as temporary access, and the transfer expires after one or seven days.
For more protection, add a password before uploading and share it through a different channel when the file is confidential.
What the recipient needs
The recipient only needs the transfer link, a browser, and the password if you set one. They can download one file or the complete transfer as an archive.
They do not need a SendFile account and do not need to provide an email address.
