About SendFile
A temporary handoff, not another place to organize your life.
SendFile exists for one job: moving a large file from a sender to a recipient through a private, expiring link. It is currently free to use and an account is optional.
A clear lifecycle for every transfer
Selection
You choose up to 100 files with a combined size of no more than 20 GB. SendFile does not scan your device or select anything for you.
Upload
The browser sends files in resumable chunks to private object storage. Keep the original files available until the transfer is complete.
Delivery
SendFile creates an unlisted capability URL. Anyone who has the link—and the password, if you set one—can attempt to download before expiry.
Expiry
You choose one day or seven days. When the transfer expires, its link stops working and the stored objects enter the deletion process.
What SendFile is
A browser-based temporary file-transfer service with resumable uploads, optional passwords, automatic expiry, individual downloads, and full-transfer archives.
What SendFile is not
It is not permanent backup, public file hosting, a video-streaming platform, or a substitute for an encrypted collaboration workspace with granular member permissions.
Current service model
There are currently no subscriptions, paid upgrades, billing accounts, or advertising scripts. The same transfer limits are available to everyone.
Simple limits, stated plainly
- 20 GB maximum combined transfer size.
- 100 files maximum in one transfer.
- One day or seven days as the available expiry choices.
- Eight characters minimum when password protection is used.
- Senders are responsible for having the right to share every uploaded file.
